I've spoken about this before in the past. Kids just naturally gravitate towards me. For other adults, I usually see kids hiding from them or they are just really unresponsive.
I was at Office Depot earlier and this one boy, about 4-5 years old, was looking around paper displays with his grandmother. I just so happen to pass by looking for green-color paper when the kid spotted me.
Whenever I spot kids and they see me, I tend to smile at them. It's a natural reaction. So this boy smiled and kept looking at me. As I was walking towards his direction, he waves his tiny hand at me and says "hi!" So I said "hi" back.
I didn't really buy anything from Office Depot. I walked to Five and Below and bought some stuff. There, a little girl was in my path and smiled at me. He was asking me to get her this toy that's above her reach. That's when her mom calls her to hurry up. She ran.
I should make my own show like Nanny 911 or Supernanny.
I'll call it the Kid Whisperer.
